Coverages that are automatically included
Full replacement cost and no depreciation
We will always return your bike to pre-accident condition or better. So, let’s say that your five-year old front tire with 10,000 miles on it gets damaged in a covered loss. Based on the tread remaining, its depreciated value is $50, but you need a new one that costs $150. We’ll give you the full $150 for a brand new one and not the depreciated value. That’s a real $100 difference. This coverage is included if you add comprehensive and collision.
Accessories and custom parts/equipment
You’ll get the exact amount needed to re-customize or restore your bike. We’ll automatically include $3,000 of coverage with comprehensive and collision to pay for upgrades, customizations, equipment, and your accessories, helmets, leathers, and gloves. If that’s not enough, you can purchase up to $30,000 in coverage.
Small accident forgiveness
We won’t raise your rate for your first accident if we pay out less than $500 for the claim.
Large accident forgiveness
Ride accident free with us for four straight years, and we won't raise your rate for your first accident no matter how much your claim costs.**
OEM parts
If you have Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts in your bike, we’ll always use OEM parts in repairs. Or if you have custom parts, we’ll use custom parts in repairs. Basically, no matter what parts you have, we’ll always replace them with the same or better parts. This coverage is also included if you add comprehensive and collision.
Standard coverages
Bodily injury and property damage liability (BI/PD)
Pays for damages to other vehicles, property (fences, signs, etc.), and injuries to other drivers/motorcyclists and their passengers. This will also pay for legal expenses if you’re sued.
Uninsured/underinsured motorist (UM/UIM)
It’s a common question: What happens if someone who doesn’t have insurance hits you? Sometimes, they’ll pay out of pocket for damages. But if they aren’t able to, you may have to pay. UM/UIM protects you from that and can pay for damages to your motorcycle, your injuries/medical bills, and lost wages if you can’t work.
Comprehensive and collision
Pays to repair or replace your motorcycle if it’s stolen or damaged. There will be a few deductible options and you can choose the one that works best for you. If you have a claim for $2,000 worth of damage and you have a $500 deductible, you pay $500 out of pocket (we’ll pay the rest).
Medical payments
Pays for your medical bills (or your passengers’) if you’re in an accident, regardless of who is at fault. You can pick a range of coverage limits.
Extra coverages you can add
Total loss coverage for a brand new bike
Available if your bike is no more than one model year old on a new policy, and two model years old during a renewal of a total loss coverage policy. If your bike is totaled, we’ll give you the full manufacturer’s suggested retail price for a brand new bike, minus the deductible on your policy.
Let’s say that you bought a motorcycle for $15,000, and it’s now only worth $10,000. If it’s totaled, and the latest model costs $15,000+, we’ll give you $15,000+. That’s a real $5,000 difference. If your motorcycle is no longer eligible for total loss coverage at renewal, your policy will still cover the actual cash value for what it’s currently worth.
Roadside assistance and trip interruption
If you get stuck or your bike is disabled, we’ll tow it to the nearest repair shop for free. You just have to be within 100 feet of the road. You can also add trip interruption to pay for food and lodging expenses up to $500 if you’re away from home (you must have roadside assistance first then add trip interruption).
Carried Contents® for your personal belongings
Covers just about all of your personal belongings that you carry on your bike if they’re damaged, stolen, or lost. This can include phones, camping gear, hunting gear, or just about any of your other personal property that could fall off your bike.
Disappearing deductible
Every policy term that you don’t have a claim, we’ll take 25% off your deductible, all the way down to $0. If you have a claim, the deductible returns to its original amount at the next renewal.†
Enhanced injury protection
If you’re injured and can’t work, we’ll pay you up to $250 each and every week for two straight years. We’ll also add built-in life insurance to this, so if you’re in a fatal accident, we’ll pay your beneficiaries $25,000.
